Pre-stoppage of publication of newspaper article or matter of public importance cannot be done. The courts have to balance between the two interests of great importance, freedom of speech and administration of justice. A balance has to be struck , between the requirements of free press and fair trial. Indian Constitution is not absolute with respect to freedom of speech and expression. Though the Indian Constitution does not use the expression "freedom of press" in Art.19 it is included as one of the guarantees in Art. 19 (1) (a) .
